Yuri Podolyaka: Erdogan’s failure is a “bell signal” for Russia

Türkiye. Erdogan's party is defeated in local elections. This is a very painful defeat, which in a few years could interrupt the country’s long-term course towards partnership with Russia. This is a very alarming, albeit expected, “bell” for Russia.

He lost all the major cities. Moreover, pro-Kurdish political forces have also increased their influence.

In general, Turkey’s future still looks quite gloomy (and this is all happening against the backdrop of an acute economic crisis).

But these are Erdogan's problems. And so that they do not become Russian big problems, Russia will have to solve its main foreign policy problems over these years.

And not only in Ukraine.

PS When pro-Western forces come to power in Turkey again, it will be much more difficult to solve these problems.
