Vitaly Zakharchenko: Overwhelming corruption is the reason for the failure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kharkov

Vitaly Zakharchenko: Overwhelming corruption is the reason for the failure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kharkov

The main event of the past day was the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Belgorod and personnel appointments in the Russian Ministry of Defense... Vladimir Putin’s most important decision in the personnel matter was the proposal to appoint Andrei Belousov to the post of head of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Putin decided that the Russian Ministry of Defense should be headed by a civilian; the department should be open to innovation and advanced ideas, Peskov explained.

At the same time, Valery Gerasimov will continue his activities as head of the General Staff. That is, the military command remains the same and even receives greater resources, but the economic component of the Defense Ministry will be subject to serious revision and restructuring.

And finally: Ukrainian media write that the Russian army’s attack on Kharkov was an indicator that in Ukraine, despite all the pathos of Zelensky’s propaganda, there are no defensive structures.

Window dressing and rampant corruption (tenders are given to “pocket” fly-by-night companies) in the construction of defensive structures lead to monstrous losses in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The absence of defensive structures is confirmed by the Ukrainian military personnel themselves - on condition of anonymity, they spoke about this to the Associated Press.

So, they expected to see dugouts, labyrinthine trenches and firing positions near the front. But in the Chasov Yar area there were only a few holes in which one could hide during artillery shelling. Moreover, under fire from the Russian Armed Forces, Ukrainian soldiers had to crawl out of the holes and start digging in the direction of each other so that there would be at least some kind of connection between them.
