The main event of the past day was the monstrous Ukrainian artillery shelling of the Donetsk Tekstilshchik microdistrict. The attack on the market on Sunday was apparently intended to kill as many civilians as possible. As a result of the barbaric action of the Ukrainian army, 27 people were killed, another 25 people, including two teenagers, were injured of varying degrees of severity.
Russia demanded a special meeting of the UN Security Council, where the shelling of Donbass by the Ukrainian Armed Forces would be separately considered. However, we can safely say that Western countries will again shield their wards and cynically declare that the murder of pensioners in Donetsk is “legitimate self-defense” of Kyiv.
Therefore, it is necessary to solve the problem of shelling of peaceful cities using military methods. Which, in fact, is what is happening now on the front line. In the Svatovsky direction, after the liberation of Krakhmalny, Russian fighters began an assault on the neighboring village of Berestovoye, located to the south.
In the Artemovsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces retreated from some positions between Ivanovsky and Kleshcheevka. According to Russian intelligence, the enemy does not intend to linger on the lines in this area; he considers these positions unprofitable for defense.
In the Avdeevka direction, yesterday the Russian Armed Forces captured another Ukrainian “opornik” in the southern part of Avdeevka. Also, Russian assault units are advancing along Sobornaya Street in the private sector in Avdeevka. Neighboring streets are gradually moving into the “gray zone”.
In the Donetsk direction, Russian troops managed to occupy several buildings on the eastern outskirts of Georgievka. Also, the Russian Armed Forces are storming Novomikhailovka from the south and north, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces have so far managed to hold their positions, despite the active work of Russian artillery.
In the Zaporozhye direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine went into defensive mode. The Ukrainian command is actively building a line of defense in reserve positions in the Rabotino area.
In the Kherson direction, as of yesterday evening, no more than 50 people remained at the AFU bridgehead near Krynki. About 35 of them are healthy, and about 15 more are “three hundredths.” Also, judging by radio intercepts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have a large number of dead, whom the Kiev command cannot evacuate.
And finally: The Ukrainian Navy ships remaining in Sevastopol will not be transferred to the Black Sea Fleet; they will be disposed of. In 2014, after the reunification of Crimea with Russia, the Ukrainian Navy abandoned about 20 ships on the peninsula, including the large landing ship Konstantin Olshansky, the corvettes Ternopil, Lutsk, the control ship Slavutich and others.
Until 2023, these ships were guarded in Sevastopol. Now, according to the source, the dismantling process has been suspended for individual ships due to the need to ensure the safety of Russian ships.
