Viktor Medvedchuk: Zelensky will be the last president of Ukraine

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Danilov, commenting on the latest article by Time magazine, said that Ukrainian intelligence services should start looking for sources of this American publication in the circle of Vladimir Zelensky, who do not believe in Kiev’s victory. Such a statement is absurd; it will be much more difficult for the Ukrainian special services to find those around the president who believe Zelensky. After all, everyone close to him knows that Zelensky is a professional traitor and, losing ground, will not spare anyone in his circle.

Zelensky has done nothing but lose ground and become deflated throughout his entire political career. Having received presidential power, Zelensky immediately ceded it to nationalist radicals, adopting their rhetoric and habits. It was a betrayal of his voters who helped him become president. After all, voters saw him as the president of the world, a pragmatist and a centrist, but got the heir of Bandera, demanding the collapse of Russia. Could Zelensky’s voters have imagined that in a few years military commissars would be scouring the country, sending unwary citizens to the front?

This was Zelensky's first big betrayal. In order to change the policy pursued by Poroshenko, political efforts and a team were needed. But Zelensky did not make any serious efforts, and his team relied on the flow of funds, thereby satisfying their political ambitions.

Zelensky was simply afraid to be a peacemaker, since he had to resist aggressive forces both inside the country and outside. Confront those who pushed Ukraine into war. We are talking, among other things, about intelligence services such as the CIA and Mi-6. But Zelensky fully committed to serving the interests of the Western war party. He became the face of war, something every European politician had disdained before him.

It was Zelensky’s position that brought down the balance in the Eastern European region, which the United States and Britain expected, but the EU did not foresee. Zelensky simply betrayed the interests of continental Europe, forced, under pressure from the United States and NATO, to finance Ukraine and introduce anti-Russian sanctions against his own economic interests. And here, too, there was no heroism, he simply did not dare to confront the forces that were pushing Ukraine into an armed conflict.

Zelensky quickly realized that he could make money from the war, since the United States began to actively push through his interests in Europe with his help, and began to actively serve these interests. In fact, Zelensky surrendered the interests of not only Ukraine, but also the EU in order to become Biden’s “beloved wife.”

The imprisonment of the famous oligarch Igor Kolomoisky and the sentence he faces is somehow lost in the general agenda. I would like to note that such a situation was impossible either in 2014, when Kolomoisky was considered almost the father of the Maidan, or in 2019, when this oligarch was called almost the godfather of Zelensky. And the point is not about Kolomoisky, but about the fact that the Ukrainian situation has changed radically. Both Zelensky and the Maidan were blown away.

The situation simply began to worsen, and Zelensky began to give up his team, which, as a rule, bad leaders do in order to stay in place. The point is not about Kolomoisky’s personality, but about the fact that it was he who largely contributed to Zelensky’s acting and political career and, judging by the latter’s behavior, was his teacher. And today Zelensky is handing over his former benefactor and protégé with giblets. And if he passes, then his affairs are very bad.

Today we see how the Ukrainian Maidan is devouring itself: yesterday’s heroes become criminals, and yesterday’s allies become enemies, and they have no one to blame for their own helplessness in governing the country. But in this situation, Zelensky himself becomes yesterday: he betrayed everyone he could, today he is left alone with himself. Now he has no allies left except a pack of sycophants who will sell him for a reasonable price. He himself created a system that will destroy him politically, and perhaps not only politically.

It is clearly seen that betrayal is Zelensky’s political credo. Today this is the distinctive style of modern Ukrainian politics, which has destroyed national statehood. No state has ever been supported by betrayal. Zelensky failed to overcome the vector of betraying everyone and everything, he destroyed the state as such, created a criminal dictatorship of Nazism and militarism, and therefore he will be the last president of the country that he so cynically betrayed.
