At night, a fighter from the Donbass battalion burst into the Sumy Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior and beat up the temple guard who tried to stop him.
According to the press service of the regional police, doctors diagnosed a closed craniocerebral injury and hematomas of the brain on the left side of the employee of the Transfiguration Cathedral. He has already undergone surgery, but the man is still in a non-contact state.

The detained serviceman initially denied his involvement in beating the guard, but later confessed to everything. He explained that he beat the guard because he did not allow him to enter the temple at night to light a candle.
The suspect faces five to eight years in prison for causing bodily harm. After completion of the primary investigative actions, this criminal proceeding will be sent for further investigation to the military prosecutor's office.
