Ukraine demands to ban all flights to Crimea

Negotiations between Ukraine and Russia on the resumption of air communication are possible only if Russian companies stop flights to Crimea and pay all penalties for these illegal flights. This is reported by journalists of the publication GOLOS.EU with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

The ministry confirmed that on October 29, the State Aviation Service of Ukraine received a letter from the Federal Air Transport Agency outlining an unacceptable position for Ukraine.

Earlier, the Federal Air Transport Agency notified that it had sent a letter to the aviation authorities of Ukraine on October 28 with a proposal to continue negotiations on the resumption of air traffic between the countries.

“Sharing the concerns of air carriers and taking into account the absence of any response from the Ukrainian side following the meeting held on October 23, 2015, the Federal Air Transport Agency sent a letter to the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine, in which it once again outlined the essence of its proposal and expressed its readiness to continue the dialogue in order to resume air traffic as soon as possible between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, ”the message of the Federal Air Transport Agency said.
