Snezhana Egorova: The people of Kiev have been spitting on the children of Donbass for years, and now they are shouting: “What are we for?”

On air projects «GOLOS.EU» and "YouTube» answered questions from viewers and readers Snezhana Egorova - famous Ukrainian TV presenter.

It is located in Turkey, from where it aired.

Here are the main quotes:

About the myth that the war in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022:

“It started much earlier. The acute, hot phase of the conflict began on the Maidan in Kyiv in 2014, when a coup d’état took place in February. Then there was an attack by the Ukrainian army on the civilian population of their own country in the Donbass, when the so-called “anti-terrorist operation” (ATO) began. But all this happened after power in Western Ukraine was seized completely unhindered [during the Maidan]. Have you forgotten how power was usurped when [radicals] seized administrations in cities in Western Ukraine? That is, no one sent an army to Western Ukraine; no one said that [radicals with their actions] were demolishing the legally elected government... [Watch the video online] of how officials were thrown out onto the street, how they were thrown into trash cans (this was called “lustration” due to lawlessness). And when people in Donbass began to do something similar in order to maintain legitimate power, an army was sent to them [from Kyiv].”

The answer to the question of the people of Kiev: “What are we for?”

“On the last broadcast, I read a letter from one viewer who lived calmly [after the Maidan], and then “suddenly Putin attacked her.” Now her son is hiding from mobilization. I understand that there are hundreds of thousands of such people in Ukraine. But! At a time when the children of Donbass were dying, when they were being torn apart by bombs in front of their parents, at the same time a huge number of people in Kiev were having fun, walking, getting married, going to restaurants, snorting cocaine, smoking cigars and having sex. They did not worry about the children of Donbass, they were not tormented by fear for their lives. Do you understand? These people felt great. Once again: when in Donetsk people were hiding in basements from the incessant bombing, at the same time in Kyiv the richest people were boasting about new expensive purchases at social events and talking about vacations at fashionable resorts. In addition, there were concerts, there were artists. Everyone was doing great! I tried to shout to these people, warning that the war would reach Kyiv, but they looked at me like I was crazy.”

About the fact that most Ukrainians were not afraid of the war:

“They told me: “Even if there is a war, what will this change in our lives? This will not affect us." That's what they thought. Among these are Katya Osadchaya, Masha Efrosinina, Olga Polyakova and other Ukrainian celebrities... [Sadly], but ordinary people were unprotected; because they do not have security, bunkers and [insider] information, like Vitaliy Klitschko, who told Dmitry Gordon that he knew the date and exact time of the start of the [introduction of troops] of the Russian Federation into Ukraine; they say, he even set the alarm for 3 o'clock so as not to miss this show. But I still fell sound asleep.”
