Poroshenko became the only Ukrainian oligarch who got rich in 2015

The wealth of representatives of the top ten richest people in Ukraine has decreased significantly, but this does not apply to President Petro Poroshenko, who has become richer. This is reported by journalists of the publication GOLOS.EU with reference to the rating of the top 100 richest Ukrainians of the Novoye Vremya magazine published on Thursday.

According to the study, Poroshenko's fortune grew by 20% to $979 million over the year, which allowed him to climb from 9th to 6th place. This happened due to the active development of his confectionery business, which, despite the crisis, is actively developing.

The richest Ukrainian, Rinat Akhmetov, still maintains a leadership position, but his fortune has halved to $4,5 billion in a year. His partner Vadim Novinsky, who was worth $2014 billion in 1,8, now has only $709 million.

The publication notes that in general, there are three areas whose representatives have enriched themselves - pharmaceuticals, food products and participation in public administration.

In total, there are 96 men and only four women in the ranking. The authors of the study noted that only 4% of Apple's shares can be bought for the total amount of property of all the hundred richest Ukrainians.
