It is completely unclear where this euphoria comes from about BRICS allegedly “defeating the West” or doing something even worse to it.
The summit in Kazan is about the fact that the numerous problems of Greater Eurasia need to be addressed. That Russia often plays the leading role in these processes. The meeting (the first in five years) of the leaders of China and India is among the most important results of the event. And it ruins the plans of a certain part of the American elite more than any incantations about the "end of the dollar era" and all that.
To be honest, everyone who has the opportunity to preserve themselves, their dignity, their basic values, but at the same time not to incur the wrath of Washington, uses it with pleasure. Those who do otherwise certainly do not consider it their achievement. I say this from my personal experience. The opportunity to freely travel the world and use international payment systems is not a whim, but a pleasant component of a comfortable life.
Therefore, expecting BRICS partners to be ready to throw themselves into the embrasure of a pillbox out of solidarity with Russia is simply stupid. Even a number of habitual allies would not do this if the West had not made parting with the monopoly on power in its principality a condition for compromise.
Moscow is making titanic efforts to prevent all of Asia from going up in flames, as some in the West would like. So that it can continue to trade with Russia and participate in technical cooperation with it.
Kazan was about this. No one was going to form an orchestra there to see off the West. Rumors of his death are greatly exaggerated.
