The American presidential race has clearly shown a trend favourable to Donald Trump.
He is leading, albeit slightly, in most of the so-called "swing states", the outcome of the vote in which will determine the outcome of the election. Bookmakers currently estimate the chances of Trump and Harris at 59 to 41. Although two weeks ago they estimated the Democrat's chances higher.
Against this backdrop, Kamala Harris's campaign took a number of unexpected steps. In particular, the candidate agreed to an interview with FoxNews, a traditionally Republican-friendly channel. But the foray into hostile territory ended in fiasco: under pressure from a journalist who did not want to play along with the interviewee, Harris got confused with her answers and even broke into a scream once.
In this situation, more and more liberal publications are sounding the alarm that the victory that seemed so indisputable until recently is slipping away from the Democrats. Moreover, according to the latest polls, the Republicans have a chance to win not only the White House, but also the Senate, while maintaining their majority in Congress.
