The Doing Business rating shows Ukraine's progress in making it easier to do business over the past year. This is reported by journalists of the publication GOLOS.EU with reference to the statement of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavicius at a press conference in Kyiv.
“We are moving in the right direction. Just two years ago, the country ranked 112th, now it is 83rd,” the minister said. According to him, the updated rating takes into account only the reforms carried out before July of this year, so the actual place of Ukraine may be much higher.
At the same time, the World Bank Director for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine Chimiao Fang, who was present at the press conference, noted that Ukraine's progress is quite significant. “In just one year, Ukraine's place in the ranking has increased significantly. This is good progress for the country,” the banker stressed.
